It is used to equilibrate all the disorders related to the liver and the gallbladder: hepatic detox, digestion of fats, biliary dyskinesia, gallstones, hepatic cholera, detoxification of aggressive substances for the organism, depurative cures; tendon, ligament and muscle disorders, and muscle diseases in general like fibromyalgia. Also sight problems in general, related with the liver functioning. It works with cholera as an emotion, which englobes sentiments like anger, resentment, hate and irritability too.
The plants are combined to act synergistically.
Desmodium (Desmodium adscendens)
Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum)
It works directly over the liver cells as an antagonist over the different hepatotoxic agents. It’s also suitable for cirrhosis caused by alcohol, acute viral or toxic hepatitis induced by organic compounds, medicaments or toxins.
Boldo (Pemus boldus)
It has hepatoprotective action and anti-inflammatory activity.
Gentian (Gentiana lutea)
It produces an increment in the salivary, gastric juice and bile secretion. The EMA recommends the traditional use of the plant as an infusion and of the hydro-alcoholic extracts by oral way, in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, as well as in case of temporary loss of appetite. Caution is required in gastritis situations, digestive ulcers or hypersensitivity to the plant. In these cases it has to be given in a very low dose. Overdose can cause nauseas or even vomits.
The plant by itself mustn’t be used during pregnancy and nursing without medical control. It has to be taken in low doses.
Artichoke (Cynara scolymus)
The artichoke increases the bile secretion and the blood supply of the liver, which help us to ingest better the aliments. It improves the dyspepsia and the repletion, and nausea sensation that have the liver and gallbladder sick people. It favors the hepatic cells regeneration and attenuates the effect that the alcohol has on them. It’s a natural remedy against the jaundice and dropsy, besides being an ideal food during the hepatitis convalescence.
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
It has a diuretic effect. It’s used in edemas, fluid retentions, dropsy, obesity, cellulite and to purify in hepatic and renal illness.
Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata)
It has a sedative and anxiolytic effect. It has the advantage of causing a sleep similar to the physiological one and with a fast awaken. It’s appropriate when having problems to fall sleep.
Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)
It’s effective against different types of viruses, especially the simple herpes. The EMA recommends its use as an infusion by oral way in the treatment of digestive and nervous origin disorders.
Bitter Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla)
Its flowers are used as carminative and bitter aromatic for stimulate the appetite and digestion. They are also used for the distention and flatulence sensation and the light disorders of the gastro-intestinal tract during pregnancy or sensitive intestine. It has a sedative effect.
Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis)
It’s very effective to cleanse the organism quickly. Because of its phosphorous' content is recommended for intoxication, exhaustion, insomnia and diseases related to the nervous system. The orange is also very effective to treat cases of sclerosis, anemia and rickets. It’s useful in cases of constipation or osteoporosis. Besides, the orange has high levels of citric acid, magnesium and iron.
